How Varicose Veins Causes to Hemorrhoids

A hemorrhoid is actually a type of a vericose vein which are contrasted with artery. It is a swollen blood vessel in or around the anus or lower rectum, can appear during pregnancy around the anus or in the vagina.

External hemorrhoids, like its name sake, means that the hemorrhoid is located outside the anus. It is not until an internal hemorrhoid is thrombosed, infected, or when there has been erosion of the mucosal surface that pain is a feature.

An internal hemorrhoid is when the hemorrhoid is formed inside the rectum. Tiny spider veins surrounding the rectum become inflamed and a hemorrhoid is born. The hemorrhoid is covered with the mucous membrane lining of the rectum. This type of hemorrhoid is more prone to bleeding however and can lead to more severe forms of hemorrhoid called prolapsed and strangulated.
